PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock with a thumb turn for a sliding door or the like capable of definitely positioning a rotating disk not only during free time but also during lock time. SOLUTION: A lock device 2 comprises a support member 5, a turning body 6 and a turning disc 7 turning together with the turning body 6, has a positioning pin 58 fitted to a positioning pin groove 51 capable of positioning the disc 7 and fitting a positioning groove 51 only when a latch 15 is in the states of unlocking and real locking, and is constituted with a slide portion 52 which slides a circumferential groove 50 when the latch 15 is switched to an unlocked state and real locking state, a positioning shaft 56 which is projected out from the slide member 52 and penetrated through a small hole portion 55 provided at the side of rear surface R of the up-down guide portion 8, and a positioning spring 57 capable of blocking the rotation of the disc 7 when both the ends 57a and 57b are always inserted to the shaft 56 so as to push the small hole portion 55 and the slide member 52 respectively where the latch 15 is in an unlocked state and in a real locking state.
