PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixture containing a medium-chain branched primary alkyl surfactant capable of being compounded with another surfactant, having one or more merits including the following: resistance against the hardness of water has been increased; efficiency as a surfactant system has been enhanced; and efficiency for removing oil stain or particulates stain has been improved, having excellent solubility at lower temperatures, and almost free from adhesion of undissolved detergent on clothes after washing. SOLUTION: A granular detergent composition having a granular form containing (i) 20-60 wt.% of a common detergent additive, (ii) 15-70 wt.% of a surfactant system containing a branched surfactant mixture comprising a specific medium-chain branched surfactant compound and a linear surfactant compound, and (iii) 10-65 wt.% of a sulfate. The common detergent additive has a gel form, and the surfactant system has a non-gel form.
