PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device storing and unwinding a web-shaped material by a bookbinding machine having a roll replacing device capable of simply, namely, economically, and easily unwinding and replacing a material roll by a sure mechanism. SOLUTION: Both material rolls 2 and 22 are installed in an approximately vertical shaft 8 so as to be mounted on the respective outer circumferential surfaces and the respective end faces are supported and guided by sidewalls 9a and 9b of the shaft 8. The material roll 22 to be stored is mounted on an approximately horizontal and stationary bottom part 10, while the material roll 2 under unwinding is mounted on a movable support member 11 and, when the material roll 2 is unwound while supported to the support roll 13 comprising the end face of the shaft 8, the support member 11 is made to move.
