PURPOSE: A system for operating and managing a duplex server system and a method for managing a status therefor are provided to manage a duplex server system simultaneously in one operation management system by connecting a duplex server system through a TCP/IP socket capable of connecting a plurality of server systems thereto simultaneously, classifying status sensing data according to server systems based on an inherent number included in the status sensing data received from the duplex server system, and storing and managing the classified status sensing data in each message queue. CONSTITUTION: A connection processing unit(53) classifies received status sensing data according to server systems based on an inherent number included in status sensing data received from a duplex server system connected by a socket capable of connecting a plurality of server systems thereto simultaneously. Message queues(55,57) are provided corresponded to the duplex server system, and store the classified status sensing data according to server systems based on a control of the connection processing unit(53). A server status managing and processing unit(59) visualizes the status sensing data read from the message queues(55,57) and supplies a status of the duplex server system to an operator.
