PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image without a sense of incongruity by composing a three-dimensional image and a background image generated by a computer. SOLUTION: This image processing device 100 is provided with a three- dimensional image generating part 101 for generating a three-dimensional image; an illumination determining part 102 for determining illumination on the three- dimensional image; an illuminating component data generating part 103 obtaining background illumination data; a background image generating part 104 for generating the background image; and a composition part 105 for composing the three-dimensional image and background image. The illuminating component data generating part 103 obtains the relative spectral distribution of illuminating light from the RGB value of illuminating light onto the three-dimensional image and further changes the intensity of the illuminating light. The generated data of illuminating light is combined with object color component data 132 substantially showing the spectral reflectance of a photographed body, to generate the background image reflecting an illuminating characteristic to the three- dimensional image. The composite image without a sense of incongruity can be obtained by the composition of the three-dimensional image and background image.
