PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden on an operator or the like when setting a trimming region so that a face region is positioned at a prescribed point in the trimming region at a prescribed size ratio. SOLUTION: The parietal part of a person within an image for generating an identification photograph is detected (140), the positions of both eyes are detected (142), the position in Y direction (vertical direction) corresponding to the tip of jaw of the person is assumed (144), and the position in the Y direction and size of a trimming region are set so that the size ratio in the Y direction among a parietal region, face region, and lower jaw region is equivalent to the prescribed ratio for each kind of identification photograph (146-154). Further, the position in the X direction and size of the trimming region are set so that the position corresponding to the middle of both eyes agrees with the center of the trimming region in the X direction, while the aspect ratio of the trimming region agrees with that corresponding to the kind of identification photograph (156-162), and the set trimming region is superposed with the image for display (164). |
