PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that felt fibers are contained in white water recovered from a press part of a paper machine, the recovered white water is used for dilution of pulp without removing the felt fibers from the recovered white water, the made paper is mixed with the felt fibers, when the paper is used in printing, a felt is stuck to a blanket to reduce qualities of printed matter, the felt fibers are removed by a screen, however, the removal ratio is low. SOLUTION: When a net having 50-80 meshes is installed on a conventional type screen, felt fibers can be removed in a high ratio. Since pulp fibers have low rigidity, the pulp fibers are bent by a flow of white water and passed through meshes of the net, however, the felt fibers have high rigidity, are not bent and caught by the net. Consequently, approximately 90% of the felt fibers can be removed.
