PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute an efficient multi-color printing process. SOLUTION: The stencil printer comprises an index reader 61 for reading an index described on an original to be printed to designate a plate cylinder for winding stencil paper, an original reader 63 for reading print data on the original, a plate cylinder deciding unit 62 for deciding the cylinder for wounding the paper thermally perforated based on the data according to the read index, and a stencil print processor 64 for executing a printing operation by conveying a print sheet from a sheet feeder after winding the stencil paper on the cylinder decided by the deciding unit and delivering the sheet printed with the data to a delivery unit.
