PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator capable of enhancing responsiveness by removing the weight of a metal spring to a moving body and a load by sliding resistance. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic actuator has the moving body 2 and a fixed body 3. The moving body 2 has a moving piece 20. The fixed body 3 has a first solenoid 31 for moving the moving piece 20 from the neutral position on the plus side and a second solenoid 32 similarly moving on the minus side. Air cushion chambers 4, 5 are formed in the fixed body 3. The moving piece 20 is installed so as to be capable of reciprocating almost like a piston to the air cushion chambers 4, 5.
