METHOD FOR TREATING OIL-CONTAINING IRON POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently separate oil from iron powder to which the oil is allowed to adhere and also to recover the iron powder to make it recyclable. SOLUTION: The oil-containing iron powder is thrown into an oil-separating tank 10 on a charging-tank 12 side, and the oil A adhering to the above iron powder is allowed to float on the liquid surface of the charging tank 12 and also the iron powder B from which the above oil is separated is settled at the bottom of the oil-separating tank 10. The settled iron powder B is carried up by means of a transfer conveyer 20 diagonally from the upper part of a takeout tank 13 which is separated from the above charging tank 12 by a partition plate 11 and free from the floating oil and followed by recovery.
