PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic humidity step-controlled thermoanalyzer in which the temperature and humidity condition of a sample is controlled according to a target value and by which the dependence on the humidity of the physical property of the sample is analyzed precisely. SOLUTION: While a saturated acqueous vapor corresponding to the wet-bulb temperature of a dry- and wet-bulb hygrometer is being introduced to a sample chamber which is controlled to a temperature corresponding to the wet-bulb temperature, the physical property of the sample is measured, and the dependence on the humidity of the sample is evaluated. The stabilization of the physical property signal of the sample is triggered, the temperature corresponding to the wet-bulb temperature is changed, a saturated acqueous vapor under a different pressure is introduced to the sample chamber, and the humidity of the sample chamber is automatically changed in a step shape. Since the humidity of the sample chamber is always changed by waiting for the stabilization of the physical property of the sample, it is not required to beforehand know the required time until the sample reaches humidity equilibrium, and the dependence on the humidity of the physical property can be measured precisely.
