PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of easily and securely eliminating a jammed recording medium even if a jam of a recording medium is generated in a carrying route in the downstream of an image forming means in a recording medium carrying direction. SOLUTION: A rear cover 33 is provided at a rear part of a main body casing 2 freely to be opened and closed by turning around a lower end thereof. The lower end of the rear cover 33 is provided with a flapper 34 capable of selectively switching a paper sheets 3 carrying direction between a face down carrying route 36 and a reverse mechanism carrying route 58 so that the flapper 34 faces to the paper sheets 3 carrying route when the rear cover 33 is closed and that the flapper 34 is moved backward from the carrying route with the opening operation of the rear cover 33 when the rear cover 33 is opened. |
