PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high hygroscopic warmth-keeping cloth having excellent hygroscopicity, suitable for clothes having excellent warmth-keeping property and heat build-up property. SOLUTION: The high hygroscopic warmth-keeping cloth is constituted with a filamentous material or a cotton-like material containing >=10 wt.% of a synthetic fiber having an alkali metal-substituted carboxy group in an amount of >=5.2×10-4 gram equivalent/gram fiber. The cloth has a coefficient of moisture absorption of >=2%, an exothermic energy coefficient of >=5 and <=30, and a thickness of >=0.5 mm and <=10 mm and a degree of fiber packing per unit volume of >=30 and <=200 at a load of 7 g/cm2.
