PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap wherein a packing can be easily and reliably removed from a cap body to contribute to separate resource recovery regardless of limitation in materials of the cap body or the packing. SOLUTION: The cap for sealing a mouth of a container comprises at least a cap body 4 including a top plate 2 and a skirt 3 provided around a periphery thereof, and a packing 5 mounted in the cap body 4. A packing 5 includes a removal member 6 which can remove the packing 5 from the cap body 4. The removal member is only pulled after use of the cap, thereby easily removing the packing from the cap body. Alternatively, a recess is formed on an inner side of the cap top plate, and a weakened line is formed on the packing, wherein the cap is pressed from the exterior of the cap top plate, thereby breaking the weakened line by pressing force and removing the packing from the cap body. It is preferable to form the packing and/or the removal member by injection-molding or embossing a resin blended with an oxygen absorbing agent.
