PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device best applicable to portable information communication equipment, such as a portable telephone, which requires a small size, a light weight, a low cost and low power consumption. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a first display region part 12 displaying specified information such as symbols and simple graphics full-time and a second display region part 13 displaying desired information such as images and characters as needed inside the surface of the same panel 11. The transmittance of the first display region part is made higher than that of the second display region part. |
