PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive simple adhesive tape for the binding, fixing, etc., of a plastic optical fiber without causing the deterioration, etc., of the fiber. SOLUTION: Plastic optical fibers can be easily bound and fixed without deteriorating the fibers by using an adhesive tape having an adhesive layer containing <=1 wt.% plasticizer. The lowering of mechanical strengths and the increase in the light transmission loss can be prevented without increasing the cost.
