PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting malfunction of three- way valve in a regenerative burner in which open/close condition of a three-way valve can be reliably monitored, and breakage and anomaly in a valve element can be detected. SOLUTION: In the malfunction detecting method for three-way valve in a regenerative burner, (a) temperatures of exhaust gases discharged respectively from a pair of burners 2 and 3 provided with heat-storage bodies 7 on both ends of a radiant tube 1 are detected, (b) a difference between the temperatures of the exhaust gases of the burner 2 and 3 is compared, and (c) conditions of breakage of the valves of the pair of three-way valves 4 and 5 are detected on the basis of difference between temperatures of the exhaust gases. |
