PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a seat height adjusting device simpler in structure and thinner in the whole device to enable the device to be suitably housed in a limited narrow space under the seat, easily manufactured at low cost, and smoothly actuated. SOLUTION: A rising/falling type actuating pin 16 to disenable a gas spring 13 to extend/contract by being raised and to enable by being fallen is equipped on the upper end of the gas spring 13. The action pin 16 is raised/fallen by an actuating lever 25 made to move to a side by operating an operating means 21 under the seat.
