METHOD OF FABRICATING LIGHT GUIDE PLATE USING CYLINDRICAL ROLLER AND BACK LIGHT UNIT EMPLOYING LIGHT GUIDE PLATE

PURPOSE: A method of fabricating a light guide plate using a cylindrical roller and a back light unit employing the light guide plate are provided to fabricate a large-sized light guide plate using a refractive light diffusion pattern. CONSTITUTION: A raw plate for fabricating a light guide plate(3), formed of an organic material, is prepared. Upper and lower rollers(1,2) each of which has a protrusion(6) are heated. The protrusion has a shape corresponding to a pattern to be formed in the light guide plate. The raw plate passes between the heated upper and lower rollers, coming into contact with the protrusions. The protrusions of the upper and lower rollers form the pattern in the raw plate. The surfaces of the upper and lower rollers do not come into contact with the surface of the raw plate.
