PURPOSE:To use only one frame memory to display an index picture. CONSTITUTION:Picture data is read out from a memory card 20A where picture data of plural pictures is stored and is temporarily stored in a frame memory 13A. Still picture data is thinned by a thinning processing circuit 14A to generate a reduced picture. Reduced picture data subjected to thinning processing is compressed and is transmitted to a picture transmission equipment 10B. This equipment 10B generates picture data for index display from received reduced picture data and stores it in a frame memory 13B. Picture data for index display stored in the frame memory 13B is analogically converted and is given to a monitor display device 30B to display the index picture on a monitor display device 30B. |
