PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear step motor for miniaturizing a device and also reducing iron loss. SOLUTION: In the linear step motor 10, a stator 12 where a stator core 33 having a number of stator magnetic pole teeth 47 being arranged at a first specific pitch is provided, and a plurality of movable cores 16-19 having a movable element magnetic pole tooth 45 being arranged at the first specific pitch opposite to the stator magnetic pole teeth 47 are arranged at a second specific pitch, a movable element 13 that travels with a slight gap on the stator core 33 is provided, and the gap is formed by compression air blown from the movable element 13. A nozzle for blowing the compression air from the movable element 13 is formed at the movable element cores 16-19.
