PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely transmit one piece of information too large to be stored in one packet from a printer 10 to a computer 50. SOLUTION: The information too large to store in one packet, for example, calibration data is divided to a size storable in one packet, and stored in the EEPROM 26 of the printer 10. The computer 50 designates the transmission of which section of the calibration data is requested by use of parameters m1, m2 and m3. Accordingly, the command transmitted from the computer 50 to the printer 10 can be matched to the answer received by the computer 50 from the printer 10 in 1:1. |
