摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed screw mechanism that is structurally simple, permits a fine pre-load adjustment with a nut member threaded on a screw shaft, extremely reduces backlashes, emits less noise, and permits high-speed feeding, and a pre-load adjustment method therefor. SOLUTION: The feed screw mechanism has a screw shaft 1 and a nut member 3 threaded on the screw shaft 1, so that a relative rotation of the screw shaft 1 to the nut member 3 offers a precise movement of the nut member 3. The nut member 3 has a cylindrical portion 6 with a tapped hole 2 for threaded engagement with the screw shaft 1. The cylindrical portion 6 has a plurality of divided tongues 13a to 13d circumferentially divided by a plurality of slits 7a to 7d so as to have an opening end at one end. An elastic member 9 for compressing the cylindrical portion 6 radially is axially slidably mounted on the peripheries of the divided tongues 13a to 13d, and an adjustment of the axial mounting position can adjust the force with which the cylindrical portion is clamped on the screw shaft 1.
