PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device easily improvable in performance. SOLUTION: A printer 100 that is one embodiment of this invention is formed of a communication I/F 1, a CPU 2, a printing engine 3, and a memory 4. A host computer 200 is connected to the printer 100 through a serial cable, a LAN line or the like. In replacement of the CPU, a user can shorten the time for generating a print image and improve the processing performance of printer only by replacing the CPU 2 with another CPU interchangeable with this CPU and processible at high speed. |
