PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of preventing penetration of contaminant into the interior. SOLUTION: A rotor 14 is rotatably supported in a casing 11, and a permanent magnet 23 is mounted in the middle between the rotor and the casing. A lever 32 is inserted into a hollow part 31 of the rotor 14, and a front through- hole 33 and a rear through-hole 34 for the lever 32 to be inserted into are formed in the front end and in the rear end of the casing 11. The front end and the rear end of the lever 32 can project from the casing 11 through the through-holes 33 and 34, and the quantity of the projection of the rear end is reduced in proportion to the increase of the quantity of the projection of the front end of the lever 32 from the casing 11. A male screw part 42 is formed on the peripheral surface of the rear part of the lever 32 to be engaged with a female screw part 43 of the rotor 14. A rotation restriction part 45 whose section is D-shaped is mounted in the front part of the lever 32, and the section of the front through-hole 33 is D-shaped.
