Annotations on a map to be prepared are re-applied dynamically during map set-up in a computer and positioned so as to achieve optimum visibility, even if a map section is changed. Attention is only given to annotations, whose reference object goes beyond the map's edge. If an annotation is only partly displayed, it is abbreviated to keep the important parts of a name.
