PURPOSE: Provided is a case of a lithium ion battery having break lines, which prevents the explosion by breaking the wall of the case by the break lines when an excess external pressure is applied to the lithium secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: The case(100) of the lithium ion battery has a first break line(111) and two second break lines(112) on the bottom wall(110) of the case(100), wherein the first break line(111) is formed on the central bottom wall(110) and the second break lines(112) are extended from the ends of the first break line(111) in the opposite direction to each other. The first break line(111) is inclined at 30-60 degree against the direction of the external pressure.
