PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer composition for a halogen-containing polymer such as polyvinylchloride. SOLUTION: This stabilizer composition for a halogen-containing polymer is obtained by preparing a reaction mixture comprising a basic organic salt of alkali metal or alkaline earth metal and a color-producing component such as phenol, and treating the mixture with C7 to C17 alkylglycidylester.
