PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original paper for back-carbon copying used as an original copying paper or the like for a copying slip wherein the receptivity of carbon ink and release properties can be improved. SOLUTION: The original paper for back-carbon copying contains an inorganic loading material so that ash content according to JIS P8128 is in the range of 25-45 wt.%. Preferably, a coating liquid, in which an inorganic pigment is mixed, is applied to the surface to be coated with carbon ink of an original paper principally composed of regenerated pulp, while a coating liquid, in which sodium alginate is added into starch of high concentration, is applied to the carbon ink transfer surface of the original paper.
