PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior material having not only excellent moisture- absorbing and releasing functions, but also excellent functions for decomposing noxious gases and malodors by using a photocatalyst, and capable of being industrially produced at a comparatively low cost. SOLUTION: This interior material is an interior wall material obtained by fixing a porous body carrying photocatalyst particles on the surface of an interior substrate. The interior wall material having the moisture-absorbing and releasing functions and the photocatalytic functions is characterized in that the pore size distribution of the porous body carrying the photocatalyst particles is 2-10 nm radius, the average particle diameter of the photocatalyst particles is <=30 nm, and the pore size distribution of the porous bodies before carrying the photocatalyst is 20-30 nm.
