PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive sewage treatment apparatus reduced in generation quantity of waste and low in running cost, adapted to a recycling treatment apparatus for sorting plastics or the like by material from crushed matter of waste household electric appliances becoming waste by specific gravity sorting using water and enabling a closed system wherein pollutants of sorting water are separated during the operation of a specific gravity sorter when a large quantity of crushed matter of waste household electric appliances is sorted on the basis of specific gravity at least after iron is recovered and treated sorting water is returned to the specific gravity sorter. SOLUTION: Sewage contributing to the specific gravity sorting action using water of the crushed matter of waste household electric appliances is put in a flocculant reaction tank 50 having a stirrer 48 and floc (flocculated matter) is grown in a floc ageing tank 51 and a floc separation tank is connected to the floc ageing tank 51 to separate floc and treated water.
