PURPOSE: A charge generation electrification apparatus for forming phosphors of a color CRT is provided to lengthen a lifetime of the charge generation electrification apparatus by improving a structure of the charge generation electrification apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A support portion(21) is used for supporting a glass panel(20). An electrification device(26) is formed at a predetermined position corresponding to one side of the glass panel(20) in order to generate electric charges. A copper wire(24) is formed at a lower portion of the electrification device(26). The copper wire(24) is formed at an upper end portion of a rotary shaft of a driving motor(23). A tungsten needle(25) is formed at an end of the copper wire(24). A grid(27) is formed between the glass panel(20) and the tungsten needle(25). The grid(27) is formed with tungsten.
