<p>A door system, which uses a linear motor, has a door hanger (2) from which a door (5) is movably suspended, an electric motor for generating a thrust to open and close the door, and a link mechanism (6) made of a non-magnetic material for transmitting the thrust generated by the motor to the door. The linear motor has an armature (530) to serve as a mover runner (590) and a stator (560) having magnetism. The armature has at least a first and a second opposed parts which comprise a magnetic pole (510) of a first polarity and another magnetic pole (520) of a second polarity.
