PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly set up an inherent address in each slave set from a master set without requiring work load. SOLUTION: The master set 1 calls slave sets 21 to 2N by a manufacturing number, specifying only the digit number of a prescribed digit out of plural manufacturing numbers, and sets up a new address in the slave set at the time of receiving response from one of the slave sets 21 to 2N. When responses are received from plural slave sets, a group of the digit used for the call and the digit number is stored. The collision retrieving processing by digit is executed by specifying the digit values of all digits of each manufacturing number. When collision occurs for all the digits, the stored group of the digits generating the collision and the digit values is called by the manufacturing number used for plural digits as collision retrieving processing by digit. When a response is received from a certain slave set, a new address is set up in the slave set.
