The flexible axle consists of suspension arms (2) at each end, each fitted with a suspension shaft (3) and the means to link the two arms together. Support joints (8) receive the suspension shaft and hold the assemblies to the chassis. Rotary dampers (12) are fitted to absorb the reactions between the chassis and the suspension arms and are fitted with a connecting rod (16), fitted between the damper and the chassis, or between the damper and the suspension arm.
