PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter that can encode transmitted symbols through the use of alphabets with a small pulse level to discriminate the symbols from each other so as to reduce the cost of a radio communication system and to provide a method for generating transmission symbols. SOLUTION: The transmitter is provided with a circuit that uses a pulse train encoded by using alphabets with a prescribed pulse level and is dense spatially so as to generate a transmitted signal.
