<p>A polarizer film comprises a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) layer (16) containing dichroic molecules (30). The polarizer film (1) consists of a transfer foil (13; 3, 4) and a polarizer (6) comprising said liquid crystal polymer (LCP) layer (16). It is possible to manufacture uniform as well as high and/or low information content structured polarizers. The invention particularly simplifies off-line manufacturing of polarizers and improves in many applications the mounting process of the polarizers into the final product.</p> |
