PLASMA DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A plasma display and method for manufacturing the same is provided to obtain a flat electrode having a uniform film thickness and improved accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display comprises a pair of transparent substrates(20) opposed to each other; a plurality of barrier ribs(22) interposed between the substrates; a phosphor formed at each inner surface of a plurality of discharge cells formed by the barrier ribs; a terminal buffer layer(21) formed between barrier rib ends(22a) onto one of the transparent substrates; and a plurality of address electrodes(23) formed between barrier ribs and onto the terminal buffer layer. A method for manufacturing plasma display comprises a first step of forming a recess portion onto a transparent substrate, between the positions where a plurality of barrier ribs are to be formed; a second step of forming a terminal buffering layer on the recess portion corresponding to each end of barrier ribs; and a third step of forming a plurality of address electrodes on the recess portion and on the terminal buffering layer.
