PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation having strong inhibitory actions on melanin formation of the skin and further excellent aspects of safety such as skin irritation and skin sensitization potential. SOLUTION: This skin care preparation is obtained by formulating one or more kinds selected from L-ascorbic acid and its salts or its derivatives with the exception of ascorbic acid glycosides, hinokitiol and its derivatives, a 2- hydroxycarboxylic acid and its salts or its derivatives, hydroquinone and its derivatives, cysteine and its derivatives, glucosamine and its derivatives, azelaic acid and its derivatives, an extract of the placenta, extracts of a plant and algae having inhibitory actions on melanin formation and an extract of a plant belonging to the genus Gentiana with a skin care preparation. |
