DEVICE FOR RELEASING HAND BRAKE FROM EITHER SIDE OF VEHICLE BY PUSH BUTTON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of automatically releasing a hand brake system for a railroad vehicle from either side of the vehicle. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a fluid pressure source engageable with the vehicle. A release cylinder operable by a fluid pressure is connected with a hand brake mechanism engageable with the brake system arranged on the vehicle. A valve means is connected with an intermediate part between the fluid pressure source and the release cylinder. The valve means allows the release cylinder to release the hand brake system. A first valve operation means is arranged on a first side of the vehicle and is connected with an intermediate part between the valve means and the fluid pressure source. A second valve operation means is arranged on a second side which is the reverse side of the vehicle and is connected with the intermediate part between the valve means and the fluid pressure source.
