<p>PURPOSE: An optical projection system having a color switch electronically controlled is provided to eliminate the color break phenomenon, acquire the same brightness as the brightness of a conventional three-panel optical projection system, and simplify the fabrication process of the color switch. CONSTITUTION: An optical projection system having a color switch electronically controlled includes an image generation unit(24), an illumination unit(20), a color splitting unit(21), a color switching unit(22), and a light focusing unit(23). The image generation unit generates an image to be projected. The illumination unit illuminates lights on the image generation unit. The color splitting unit is composed of a semi-transmission reflecting mirror. The color switching unit is constructed of a plurality of color switches that are electronically controlled to respectively transmit the lights splitted by the color splitting unit. The light focusing unit focuses lights on the image generation unit.</p> |
