PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a recess of a screw, in an air impact screwdriver. SOLUTION: An air cylinder 12 for driving a driver bit 14 to advance and an air motor 2 for driving the driver bit to rotate are controlled by a trigger valve 8 that is switched from a restriction position to a full-open position. A trigger lever 9 adjusts a working speed at a time of starting the air motor and an air cylinder to prevent the breakage of the recess of the screw.
