PURPOSE: Provided are an electrode/electrolyte composite for fuel cell capable of operating in unhumidified fuel, and a fuel cell using the same. CONSTITUTION: The electrode/electrolyte composite comprises a pair of electrodes having gas diffusion electrode and catalyst layer; and hydrogen ion exchange membrane(33) positioned between the electrodes. At least one of the gas diffusion electrode(s) of the electrodes is(are) nonwoven carbon fiber substrate impregnated with 4-20 mg/cm2 of carbon black particles having particle diameter of 10-100nm and hydrophobic polymer.
