Communications apparatus

A system of apparatus in which user equipment is provided with a selecting device (12) which communicates with a pricing device (20) in apparatus of a supplier of goods or services. When goods or services are required, the selection circuit 12 polls a plurality of suppliers of goods or services , and the pricing circuit 20 of each provider generates a price signal indicating the level of price for its services. The selection circuit 12 then selects a provider, based on price (and also other factors such as quality of service).
