PURPOSE: A device for generating anion of air conditioner is provided to prevent damage of a discharge rod due to outside impact by carelessness of a user and blast pressure. CONSTITUTION: A device includes an anion generator(162); a discharge rod(164); a printed circuit board; and a cover(180). The anion generator is installed to an air conditioner to generate anions. The discharge rod is installed to a backside of a discharge grill to emit anions generated in the anion generator into air. The printed circuit board connects the discharge rod with the anion generator. The cover covers the discharge rod to prevent damage of the discharge rod. The cover comprises a cylindrical body; an installation panel; and a fixing part. The cylindrical body is hollow for the discharge rod to be inserted in. The installation panel is integrally formed on the cylindrical body and installed to the backside of the discharge grill. The fixing part is formed on a lower side of the installation panel to fix the printed circuit board to a lower part of the installation panel.
