PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit beautiful closing operation and to surely tightly close the door opening. SOLUTION: In this control method for a double swinging door, the door opening is closed by superimposing the door tip of a door panel 6b to the door tip of a door panel 6a in the closed position. In the closing process where the door panels 6a and 6b swing towards the door opening 4, the door panel 6b is made to stop once in a temporary stop position before the closing position and the door panels 6a and 6b are closed in an arranged order from the temporary stop point so that the door panel 6a reaches the closed position prior to the door panel 6b.
