The cable has a screening device (5) providing an electrical short-circuit enclosing the inner conductor structure (2,3) of the cable (1) in the peripheral direction, via an electrically conductive screening foil (12) embedded in an insulation layer (11). The screening device has a fold (15) at its center, for providing 2 overlying partial regions (7,8), facing towards and away from the inner conductor structure, each extending around the full periphery of the latter. The electrical short-circuit is provided by an electrical contact between the different regions of the folded screening foil.
