The procedure for the removal of floor coverings (34) entails the use of a mobile milling and breaking machine (12). The dusty air is drawn from the housing (16) of the machine by a suction unit (38) with subsequent filtering of the air. The broken up material (18) is then drawn up by a high vacuum sucker (30) with subsequent separation of the broken material from the suction flow. The high vacuum sucker operates with an underpressure greater than 3 bar. An Independent claim is included for a device to carry out the removal of floor coverings laid on underfloors.
