PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dish washer and dryer capable of improving the detergency of a detergent and reducing the amounts of the detergent by simultaneously or separately charging the detergent and a regenerant into a container accommodating ion exchange resins, and removing ion components containing in washing water. SOLUTION: The container which accommodates the ion exchange resin and has an opening/closing lid is provided in the middle of a piping for feeding water in a washing tank, a filter having sieve meshes is diagonally disposed above the ion exchange resin in the container, and the detergent and the regenerant of different grain size are simultaneously or separately charged. The regenerant passes through the filter while the detergent is discharged outside the container by the filter and into the dish washer and dryer. This dish washer and dryer is compact and convenient for use.
