PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet cutter having excellent safety and capable of finely cutting a soft sheet. SOLUTION: A long cutting blade 7 is buried with the knife edge positioned near the surface of a base 1 in the base. Preferably, a cushion material 10 for always covering both sides of the knife edge is disposed on the surface of the base 1. When a sheet to be cut is placed on the base 1, and pressed by a pressure roller 6, the cushion material 10 is bent so that the knife edge is exposed to cut the sheet.
